Members of CHS Natural Helpers traveled to Washington D.C. recently to attend multiple seminars about leadership and drug/alcohol prevention. They visited the Capitol, listened to numerous speakers and had the privilege of meeting house members and senators, such as Susan Collins. They talked with her about what they do in our community, and how government funding impacts their small group. They were also able to meet other youth groups who have similar goals and plan to bring some ideas back to Fort Kent to continue to build a healthier community. L to R: McKenzie Bernier, Isabelle Lozier, Michelle MacLaren-Toussaint, Olivia Eno and Heather Smith, Advisor.

Student Assemblies Reach Student Body
Two student assemblies had a positive impact on the student body of both schools during December. FK Police Chief Tom Pelletier and Special Agent Chuck Ainsworth (above), from the Department of Homeland Security, delivered an eye opening presentation on Cypersecurity and Cyberbullying. How learners can recognize Cyber-predation and other legal aspects of the internet were discussed. "See Something, Say Something" was the message left with our learners!
Motivational Speaker David Whitley (below) spoke to our learners about reaching their full potential. David's presentation was courtesy of Ricky and Cassie Daigle of Too Far North Fitness Center.

Class C North Soccer Finals
Due to the limited parking at UMFK, we are asking all Warrior fans to please use parking around Community High School for today's Northern Maine Championship Game.
In order to accommodate the rainy conditions, MSAD27 will be providing a shuttle bus service to and from the CHS parking lots and UMFK alumni field. The shuttle service should run every 10 - 15 minutes before, during, and immediately after the game.
